DIVISIONS OF THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE
The main objective of the Clay County Sheriff's Office team is to serve and protect the citizens of the Clay County community. The Sheriff's Office has a vast range of Roles and Responsibilities that range from maintaining our Court House and Detention Center Facilities to working in our schools with our students. PATROL
The Patrol Division responds to calls for service, provides proactive patrol in the community, and provides necessary services to the community such as school resource officers, residence or business checks, health & welfare checks, and assist with many other tasks to assist in preventing crime and solving problems.
INVESTIGATIONS
The Criminal Investigative Division is responsible for three primary classifications of crime: property crime, drug crime and crimes against person(s). Each investigator is cross trained in a variety of special skills necessary to perform any of the tasks required to bring criminals to justice. Investigations and Patrol work hand in hand with one another as a complimentary team to keep the community safe.
AUXILLIARY
The Auxiliary is made up of all volunteers who have successfully completed the Clay County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy. The time and effort put in by our auxiliary members is a valuable asset to the Sheriff's Office mission. Members fill important roles such as assisting with front door security at the courthouse, traffic direction at certain key events throughout the year. Additionally, the auxiliary participates every community outreach event sponsored by the Sheriff's Office which provides numerous opportunities for members to give back to their community.
